When will I receive my books if you mail them to me?
If your book is in stock, or once we have received it if it has been ordered in, you will usually receive it the next morning within Switzerland. For more information,

Can I search
for books on your website?
Yes, you can! You can search our
catalogue of stock or ex-stock items by title, author, keyword,
publisher, etc, or you can browse
our stock categories and take inspiration from our Top
Picks. And if there's anything you don't find there, you can always
just fill in an order form.

Do you have
books suitable for learners of English?
Yes, we have a range of self-study
coursebooks to help students of English with their grammar and
vocabulary. We also have exam preparation books (for the
Cambridge Advanced, Cambridge First, TOEFL, IELTS and others) and simplified
readers to suit many different levels of ability.

How long does
it take to order a book?
It all depends on the book in question.
Sometimes it can take as little as 24 hours, if it's in stock
with one of our local suppliers. If we have to order it in from the UK
or USA and it's in stock with our main suppliers there, it usually
takes about a week, as we have daily deliveries from those
countries.

Can OffTheShelf
order more specialised books, such as scientific textbooks?
No problem. In fact, there's not really much
limit to what we can order, as long as it's been written in English! We
have contacts with specialist publishers and have many years'
experience in ordering medical textbooks, scientific
works, textbooks for economics & politics courses, technical
publications and library reference volumes. We can check for accurate
information on the most recent edition of a textbook and let you
know if there's a new edition planned for the near future. Usually
books of this type will take about 2 weeks to order.

How much does
it cost to have books posted?
It depends on the number of books. To order one
book and have it sent within Switzerland would cost you 5.00 Frs.
This is for next-day delivery,
which we are now offering on all orders within Switzerland for a
maximum of 12.00 Frs per box. For more information,

What should I
do if the book I want is out of print?
No problem! We have contacts with a large number
of out of print and rare book dealers around the world. If your book is
no longer available new, we can track down a second-hand or
ex-library copy - in less time than you might think. The research
is
free and we'll happily look into the price and delivery time of
