Ordering
You can place orders with us for books, but
also for magazines, gift tokens and greetings cards.
We also order books in specially for customers
on a daily basis and can instantly look up price and availability for
you.
We receive daily deliveries from the UK and
US, so if your book's readily available it should normally arrive
within a week!

Don't forget to let us know if you need the
book by a certain date - it will help us to know that in advance.
We can even order second hand copies of books that are out of
print, so if you've been looking for a book for a while, maybe we
can help you find a copy at last!

How to order
OffTheShelf provides an extensive
ordering service to obtain the book you require quickly, even if
it's out of print. Book orders can take
as little as 24 hours to come in!
You can place your orders with us by
various methods:
search our online catalogue
(for stock items),
via our
order form (for any other books),
telephone (+41 22 311 1090),
fax (+41 22 311 1092),
by e-mail,
or of course in the bookshop itself.
We'll gladly look up the price and availability of a book before you
commit yourself to an order, and we can compare all the different
editions available to see which would be the quickest or cheapest
option.
Specialized books:
If the books you require are
specialized (for example, medical textbooks, MBA coursebooks, etc),
OffTheShelf can help you by ensuring you obtain the latest edition
in the fastest delivery time. We have direct links with a wide
range of publishers and can usually obtain books of this nature in
about 2 weeks. We can also have them shipped by courier
service if you require them very quickly.
Mail order:
We post books out to customers every
day, so it is no problem for us to fulfill your order, wherever you
live in the world! Whether the book you require is already in our stock
or has to be ordered in, we can parcel it up and mail it together with
your credit card receipt, or with a Post Office payment slip if you
live in Switzerland. Postage rates will
depend on how many books you order and which option you choose.

If the book
you wish to order is particularly expensive, or if it is an out of
print book or one we do not wish to carry in our stock, we may contact
you to ask for a deposit in advance of placing the order. You
may find it more convenient to come into the shop to pay the deposit,
rather than sending your credit card number.
