“The world’s press showed photos of the ice-covered cars in Versoix with headlines in New York, Sydney, Dubai, London etc. but were quickly forgotten after the storm. This rare event in nature was too precious, and too beautiful, to allow it to “melt” into history. We have put together an unrivalled collection of photos, showing the wonderful sculptures formed by the ice, some taking human, animal or vegetable shapes, some abstract, all magical.”
“It would have been difficult to produce such a publication by just one photographer – it is a truly collective effort. Each of the 70 photographers have willingly collaborated by submitting their photos - the book will be a permanent record of these unique scenes. Neither social media, nor the web, can replace the beauty of a prestigious art book.” |
